Why Do We Give?

Advocate - Over the past 45 years, the Harford Chamber has been the recognized voice for business in the area, offering support of pro-business legislation, relationships and connections, and educational and professional development opportunities. The Harford County Chamber of Commerce actively advocates for Harford County businesses, reviewing over 3,300 bills just this past year. They focused on business-related issues such as taxation, workforce development, labor regulation, trade agreements, COVID-19, cyber and technology, and energy to name a few. Educate - The Harford Chamber works to both foster the next generation of leaders and provide established individuals with valuable professional development opportunities. Connect - The meaningful relationships and connections made between Harford Chamber members go beyond networking. “When I started my own business, it wasn’t even a question in my mind to go ahead and join right away. It was so helpful for me – within the first two months, the membership paid for itself based on leads and different contacts and connections that I’ve made,” Rachel Schmidt, owner of Rush Rocks Promotions and Harford Chamber member states.
